Trade and Transaction Reporting Associate
I am working with a well-respected International Investment Bank, and they are looking to recruit a Trade & transaction Reporting Associate.
The purpose of this role is to perform day to day MiFiD II tasks and respond to transaction reporting queries / resolve issues. The role holder is responsible for reporting submissions, exception management and taking ownership of related queries. This includes continuous review of the effectiveness of departmental controls and processes, working in collaboration with departmental colleagues and, when necessary, internal and external stakeholders to implement improvements.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for performing the following MIFID II PTT and TR reporting tasks in accordance with desktop procedures:
  1. Importing files into ARMs (Approved Reporting Mechanisms) for MIFID reporting where necessary
  2. Completion of daily MiFiD II PTT and TR reconciliations and ensure the resolution of any instances of over- or under-reporting
  3. Maintaining static data tables to enable correct reporting
  4. Administering PTT late trade reports and obtaining explanations for all instances from Middle Offices / Trade Support
  5. Assist with the creation of test plans and test scripts, and perform UAT testing working closely with Section Head to ensure the accurate and timely completion of UAT. Ensure that issues and challenges are escalated to management in the form of regular updates

  • Work with colleagues / Manager on ad hoc projects and system enhancement initiatives as required
  • Maintain and update procedures ensuring these are accurate and comply with the procedure guidelines

Skills and Experience;

  • Previous experience in a reporting environment with exposure to MIFID II
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels Good working knowledge of Excel, (pivots, vlookup), comfortable with large volumes of data
  • Self-motivated, energetic, flexible and collaborative
  • Knowledge of MIFID II and willingness to learn other regulatory regimes applicable to the role (e.g. SFTR, ILS reporting)
