Secretarial Manager - Financial Services - West End - £70-75K

Our financial services client is looking for a highly respected Secretarial Manager who will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a large team of outstanding PAs, working 9.00 - 5.30 with flexibility as the business demands, (although not excessive out of hours).

This is an exciting role, managing a superb team of high performing PAs. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the secretarial resources within the London office.They will be responsible for continually monitoring, developing, and managing consistently high levels of support to the investment team.

The successful candidate will be confident in building trust and good relationships within this exciting business. They should be technology savvy as well as recognising new developments within the PA field in this sector. They will be confident to work closely with the existing team to positively implement change and efficiencies as the business requires.

The role requires a strong communicator at all levels, someone who relishes building exceptional working relationships with every stakeholder and who is a natural ambassador for the PA team, reflecting their professionalism and success.

You must be passionate about people management and have proven experience in a similar role, monitoring and managing workflow to ensure consistently high levels of support are provided to all stakeholders.

The role will report to the Head of Office Operations and you will also work closely with HR, developing team strategy, innovation and training and development within the PA team.

Day to day duties

Day to day management of the PA team

Allocation of PA support to individuals and teams

Staffing - allocation of cover from within the team for all holidays and absences

Recruitment - bringing best talent into the team working closely with HR and stakeholders

Training and Development - working closely with L&D to ensure that all on-boarding as well as on-going training needs are met

Engagement and communication - chairing all regular PA meetings, co-ordinating speakers, events, socials presenting to senior stakeholders when required

Performance Management - contributing to annual reviews, providing balanced and timely feedback on performance

Personal attributes and skills:

  • Previous extensive experience of managing and developing administrative / PA support teams of a similar size, private equity or professional services background a distinct advantage
