Our Client, a growing Private Bank / Wealth Management firm are expanding and are looking to hire an Associate Level candidate. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is looking for a fresh challenge in a successful environment.

THE ROLE

The Associate is a key member of the team within the firm. He/she will support a Relationship Manager in all tasks related to the delivery of excellent service to the clients.

He/she shall be first point of contact with key business stakeholders like multiple custodians and trade-counterparties, working to provide solutions towards smooth running of business.

He/she will also assist the Relationship Manager with key administrative tasks such as handling all paperwork relation to accounts and business, help to ensure regulatory compliance, help with ad-hoc financial analysis and research as well as the preparation of presentations, the organising of meetings, events and business trips or work as and when required by private banker.

He/she is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of client instructions, as well as the efficient handling of client enquiries, escalating to senior colleagues where necessary. Being first point of contact with clients, he/she should be able to gain the clients confidence and give a positive, professional impression. In this context, strong inter-personal skills are needed, together with a service-orientated mind-set. The role holder will be highly competent and provide innovative financial solutions to meet client needs, offer a range of services depending on client demands, including working closely with the Private Banker to provide a holistic service to clients.

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Provide on-going administrative support to business
  • Undertake day-to-day close interactions with multiple custodians (global private banks) to manage and service client relationships
  • Processes client payment orders, executes investment orders (securities, funds, bonds, MM / FX trades, structured/derivatives products) if FCA approved.
  • Deals with client enquiries and provides solutions where possible - as agreed with private banker
  • Ensures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements & bank policies / procedures, e.g. client documentation, client's instructions, client on boarding etc.
  • Organises team meetings, takes the minutes and follows up on action points
  • Assists the RM in achieving their targets
  • Identifies opportunities for share of wallet increases / cross sales
  • Contacts clients to check satisfaction with service levels and to enquire additional needs
  • To undertakes research assignments as required.
  • Manages diaries, books client meetings, assists with events preparation
  • Prepares for RM business trips; organises travels, preparing client presentations
  • Maintains client contact frequency and updates records

REQUIREMENTS

Professional and Technical

  • Investment Advisory Diploma (IAD) level 4 OR the Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM) Level 6 is essential
  • A good university degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a Private Banking set up
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) and ability / comfort to work with them
  • Adequate knowledge of Financial Terminals (e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters)
  • Basic ability to understand and manage a typical banking client account interface and research portals
