Our client is looking for a macro economist/country risk specialist who is passionate about policy and political developments and has the capacity to monitor and identify news flow and data. The role will require an indivudual who will be able to juggle the demands of the bank, focusing on the below:

Country risks are increasing in EMEA following the slow-down of world economy, increasing geopolitical risks, more fragmentation of political scene and volatile commodity markets. It is important to reflect country intelligence obtained through the research activities to the business and risk management strategy in EMEA.

CRID is expected to deliver high quality country intelligence to EMEA so that the Bank can take necessary actions in a timely manner and to take sound financial judgement. At the same time, CRID is expected to provide the high value added analysis with clients as well as all relevant stakeholders in

Key Skills and Responsibilities

  • To monitor EMEA country risks by collecting and analysing political and economic news, market and macroeconomic data
  • To prepare CRID's periodic country risk reports, and deliver materials internally
  • To support CRID economists' research works, and respond inquiries from internal stakeholders
  • Main interface / relationship is economists in CRID
  • Monitors macro-economic data, political and economic news across EMEA and prepare CRID's research products (daily, monthly, and ad-hoc basis
  • Producing periodic and ad-hoc analysis reports
  • Extract and analyse relevant data using a rage of statistical sources
  • Manage and support economists which work with.
  • Experience of research in financial, public sector or research institutions

Education and Skills

  • Master or Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, public policy or closely related field
  • Experience of research in financial, public sector or research institutions
