Learning and Development Advisor - £40k

Are you a Learning and Development professional, looking for your next contract?

A leading manufacturing company, based in Grangemouth, Scotland is looking to secure an experienced L&D Advisor to join their busy team.

This exclusive role, will be offered on an immediate Interim basis but commitment is key!

Typical duties will consist of:

  • Maintaining and monitoring the L&D processes to ensure L&D meets internal and external requirements.
  • Administer the site Competence Management System and support the application of this system. This includes but is not limited to the administration of a variety of other training record systems including the input, extraction, analysis and where required the manual transfer of data between systems
  • Deliver focused training and development to individuals and teams.
  • Deliver the site safety and security briefing and assist in the design and delivery of L&D surgeries.
  • Champion and promote L&D and continuously develop own and team competence to deliver a creative and innovative service.
  • Provide support to other members of the L&D team as required.
  • Proactively manage customer expectations and provide coaching and guidance on L&D systems and processes as required.
  • Liaise with external training providers to ensure the site needs are met.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

Ideally this company is looking for someone from a manufacturing background or highly regulated organisation. They would like you to also be:

  • Self-motivated and have the ability to use initiative to solve problems. This includes the ability to consider attention to detail as well as the impact on the bigger picture.
  • Be adaptable and comfortable with a high level of change and changing priorities in order to meet business needs.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and multiple tasks working several demanding work fronts in parallel. This requires a high level of planning, organisation and time management skills and proactivity to ensure desired outcomes are fully achieved on time.
  • To work collaboratively with key stakeholders in order to facilitate timely and customer focused solutions and monitor successes in an ongoing manner. Ability to build good rapport with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent team working skills are essential for the current small L&D team.
  • Integrity and confidentiality are required when dealing with any aspect of an individual's Learning & Development needs.
