Our client, a reputable commodities trading company based in the City are seeking an Instructional Design Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the creation of the Global Management Development Programme.

You will be part of the global HR team who are responsible for staff based globally with Regional HR Managers reporting into the Global HR Director who is based in Dallas. You will work closely with the HR colleagues and with the stakeholders within the business.

Ideally you will hold a bachelor's degree in business, instructional design or a related field or possess equivalent working experience.

Ideally you will need to have 5 - 7 years' experience within the following:

  • Assessing training / course needs
  • Identifying SME's both internally within an organisation and externally based on identified training needs
  • (Primary focus) instructional design and curriculum development with analysing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating instructional materials including comprehensive knowledge of current instructional design methodology and multimedia
  • Ability to work individually with SME's to design and develop appropriate learning content with minimal supervision required
  • Preferred experience with ADDIE model of curriculum development
  • Proven ability to storyboard or translate ideas to develop innovative courses
  • "Blended" learning training experience in design, delivery and evaluation with equal expertise in designing instructor led and eLearning courses (e.g. computer based training / web-based training) in supporting / managing global training programs
  • Establishing training program timelines; identifying training locations and facilities
  • Project planning and project management and ability to manage / coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Key duties:

  • Overseeing, managing, creating, coordinating consistent instructional design and curriculum development for the programme
  • Hands on course design and development a primary focus (e.g. taking vast amount of materials and converting them into "instructor led training courses")
  • Creating with SME's instructionally effective and engaging training courses/modules on the programme
  • Identifying participants of the Management Development Program by working with Senior Leadership
  • Overseeing and creating course program timings, global locations over a multi-year process
  • Developing the learning programme within the Group
  • Overseeing ongoing training records administration on participants
