A well known national charity are looking to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner to join them ASAP for a 12 month fixed term contract. Based from home with some travel required, this role will manage a small HR Advisory team and provide strategic advice to the business.

Reporting to the Head of HR Business Partnering, this role will be covering maternity leave and need the successful candidate to start by the end of May/early June 18 -

Role responsibilities include:

  • To provide an expert and local professional point of contact for all Managers on matters relating to People policies, practices and principles, offering advice, guidance, support and information as required, role modelling organisation behaviours
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with the client group so that the HR Team has a true partnership way of working that is necessary to support the Charity's goals.
  • To coach/advise managers, in liaison with HR Specialists as required, in the implementation of robust recruitment and selection, performance management and employee relations processes and ER casework. Facilitate timely delivery and evaluation of appropriate activities/solutions which ensure that local business needs are met.
  • Working collaboratively with the Head of Business Partnering and other HR Business Partners colleagues, develop innovative, timely and cost effective best practice People solutions that can be implemented across the organisation as a whole
  • To maintain and develop specialist expertise and professional contacts, cascading knowledge and sharing best practice and legislative changes with colleagues as appropriate
  • To manage and develop a team of HR Advisors (in conjunction with other HR Business Partners), setting clear objectives and undertaking regular reviews to ensure best practice service, improving their capability and providing opportunities for personal development.
  • To undertake other duties as allocated by the Head of Business Partnering, including project work and change initiatives as required
  • To build and maintain a professional and visible presence amongst and throughout your client group

This is a great opportunity to join a passionate and valued organisation, the role is 4 days (Monday to Thursday) and home based. There will be travel required depending on business needs. Strong people management experience is important.
