We have an excellent opportunity for an HR Associate to join a prestigious wealth management firm based in beautiful offices in the West End for a 1 year maternity contract. You will be responsible for the day-to-day HR processes and procedures, including recruitment, employee welfare, administration of staff benefits and the on-boarding of new joiners. You will also be involved in regulatory projects such as SMCR and assist with upholding the company's culture and values.

The ideal HR Associate will be graduate calibre, have at least 3 years experience working within an HR Generalist position within a financial services business and ideally be up to speed on SMCR.

It is essential that you have the ability to work within a fast-paced, sometimes pressurised environment with the ability to remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making skills and high attention to detail.

  • Update and maintain accurate HR information including the entry and verification of data onto various HR systems, ensuring information is accurate for all new starters and existing staff
  • Act as the first point of contact for all staff queries relating to the HR systems
  • Responsible for administration of staff benefits, including pension scheme, private healthcare, season ticket loans and cycle-scheme applications
  • Update the HR information on the HR intranet, adding new policies and procedures when required
  • Manage the recruitment process by assisting in the preparation of job descriptions, adding the role to internal and external websites, liaising with recruitment agencies, co-ordinating interviews and meeting candidates
  • Responsible for the on-boarding of new starters by drafting offers and contracts, undertaking all pre-employment checks and arranging induction training sessions
  • Track new starter probations, draft pass probation letters
  • Support staff training initiatives and requests, organising exams, ordering training materials and ensuring training approval requests have been correctly authorised
  • Co-ordinate annual appraisal process
  • Production of basic reports from the HR Database
