LMA are exclusively recruiting on behalf of a global specialist staffing organisation following a multi-faceted business model and are Aim Listed.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will play a key role in the group finance team taking responsibility for the Groups consolidation and providing technical expertise and support across the group.

Main responsibilities:

  • Group multi-currency consolidation across all reporting cycles including monthly reporting, half year reporting, full year reporting as well as forecasting and budget process
  • Production of the financial sections of the Group's annual report and interim statement for the Stock Exchange.
  • Liaising with the Group's auditors.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Group's compliance with IFRS, advising on the impact of changes to accounting standards and developing practice, setting the accounting policies for the Group and providing technical support for subsidiaries as needed.
  • Management of the Group's Cognos reporting and consolidation system including its future development. Ensuring that the group consolidation process is documented and kept up to date and liaising with Cognos IT system support services to ensure all updates are performed in a controlled manner.
  • Working with other members of the finance team and other group companies to ensure the accurate reporting of financial information.
  • Responsible for Group level accounting items such as goodwill (including impairment testing), share based payment accounting.
  • Responsible for accounting for leases under IFRS16 and identifying how this can be best reflected in the Group's reporting process.
  • Review of the existing chart of accounts and making changes to this if required.
  • Provide support to the Group finance team assisting in Group wide analysis and other ad hoc projects as required.
  • Assist in any acquisition related activities.
  • Establishing and maintaining a strong working relationship with the CFO and Group Financial Controller as well as other key members of the central finance team, legal and company secretarial.

Experience:

  • ACA qualified with at least 3-5 years post qualification experience
  • Strong technical skills in IFRS
  • Experience of consolidation systems - Cognos an advantage
  • Proven background of working on group consolidation in a multi-currency environment
