My client who is a Venture Capitalist, are currenlty looking for a CTO to work for a new challenger bank based in the London.

CTO - Salary: £100,000-£150,000 - company share - bonus -etc

You will need to have the following experience:

CTO background in Fintech/Private Banking/experience in setting up new challanger banks

+ Build, own and run the technology of a new challenger bank

+ Identify the right partners/vendors in the tech echo system and run vendor selection through RFP process

+ Input into regulatory process, especially RBP, where the regulator is very keen to learn about the full detail of the bank's technology

+ Lead a small team in house to develop the front end and own the data (that will reside on the cloud)

+ Integrate various components of the stack by bringing together in-house components and off the shelf vendors

+ Own relationships with the tech providers, continuously monitoring the market for better options

+ Head internal IT, which includes security, data/knowledge management, communication management and running all digital channels (website/app/omni-channel lounge)

Ideal candidate

+ Has a strong understanding of the Fintech space, in particular around core banking platform, the technology they use and their database (on cloud) management

+ Understands the full tech eco system required to run a bank, including regulatory requirements around security, regulatory reporting, zero failure

+ Some RFI/RFP related experience and comfort with legal aspects of establishing tech supplier relationships

+ Is very familiar with API integration and is able to architect a very modular bank, which enables replacement of core systems through 'simple' plug and play

+ Has a good understanding of customer experience. We are building a customer centric bank and it is important that this is embedded in our culture, design thinking and operations

+ Is up to date with latest innovations in the tech world, including movements in advanced analytics, open banking and block-chain

+ Has the ability to project manage the development of a bank. This work involves bringing many components together, as well as building some inhouse, which requires strong organisational skills

+ A dynamically minded person that is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment
