Corporate Receptionist - £25,000 - £28,000 Hours: 9-5.30 (Great benefits)

We have a superb opportunity to work as a corporate receptionist in a wonderful company, where you will work alongside an experienced receptionist and be front of house, together in a team.

The role is a mix of hospitality and front of house and we are looking for a candidate with a super attitude, who is hungry to take on more and reflect the business and be a front of house ambassador.

Applications would be welcome from candidates with a hospitality background or indeed candidates who enjoy the front of house role and thrive on a busy front desk.

The primary role is a combination of reception and hospitality and the duties are as follows:

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and greeting members and guests and escorting them to meeting rooms
  • Taking care of guests if they are waiting in reception by offering them a drink
  • Answering and screening switchboard telephone calls and passing messages to staff
  • Booking internal and external meetings through our meeting room booking system can involve moving bookings if necessary and communicating with the member of staff who made the booking.
  • Providing building reception with a list of visitors each
  • Ensuring conference and meeting rooms are immaculately presented at all times and fully stocked
  • Answering enquiries in-box and ensuring they are are forwarded to the appropriate staff member
  • Working with our external contractors
  • Collecting newspapers and milk from ground floor reception on a daily basis

Ordering and maintaining reasonable levels of stock, to include, but not limited to: kitchen supplies (crockery, food/drinks); stationery; branded stocks

  • Ensuring the equipment in our kitchens is regularly maintained and in working
  • Ordering business cards for new staff members
  • Updating the reception telephone system with the names of new starters
  • Booking couriers upon request and tracking
  • Sending post and special delivery packages. Distributing accordingly.

Skills and Attributes

The ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience of having worked in a hospitality and front of house
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • A personable and friendly approach to greeting guests
  • Working with staff to create a professional and welcoming atmosphere
  • The ability to work with people at all levels
  • Excellent multitasking
  • Able to handle front of house when things are busy and ensuring a seamless and professional impression is shown to outside parties, as well as internal staff at all
  • Previous experience of working with an on-line meeting room booking system would be ideal
  • Microsoft Word and Outlook are essential.
