An innovative and forward thinking international bank requires an experienced Business Analyst to capture and validate all requirements on a key MIFID deliverable, before solutions are designed and implemented and will serve as the liaison between the business stakeholders and the technical solution providers throughout the project life cycle. This role is initially for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding the detailed business change needs, assessing the business impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant senior stakeholders.
    * A bridge between IT and business stakeholders including full involvement on IT testing plans.
    * Thoroughly working through and documenting project assumptions and ensuring these are robust as part of business requirements planning.
    * Conducting requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand and document their requirements
    * Establishing a traceability matrix for all requirements
    * Converting business requirements into useable system requirements.
    * Finding solutions to business problems and assisting in the design of technical/other solutions
    * Understanding the system functional design to identify key changes and assess associated impacts.
    * Establishing an understanding of business impacts, processes and workflows of current state as well as anticipated changes due to the system implementation to enable change activities and articulate impacts.

Skills and Experience


  • Experience / Knowledge of MIFID reporting requirements and ideally will have worked on a similar deliverable at another organisation
    * Experience in financial services with subject matter expertise in MIFID
    * Experience in large scale change efforts which are comprised of projects and/or programs including change management aspects of delivery
    * Must have PROVEN ability to define and capture processes and process flows across multiple stakeholders and hand off points
    * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter
    * Must be comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders
    * Demonstrates knowledge of plan development and execution, scope planning, schedule management, project communications and risk identification/mitigation
    * Demonstrates strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools and organisational change management techniques.
