Job Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring the supply of goods, production materials and equipment so that a smooth production and sales process can take place. For this, goods must be procured at the right time, in the right quantity, and of the right quantity also to ensure that business strategy involves working with company diverse suppliers to boost their performance and drive continued business growth. Key Responsibilities
1) Managing supplier development activities to meet related business requirements.
2) Following the supplier selection process to ensure requirements are protected to create long term business association.
3) Adhering to APQP requirements and ensuring linkages to Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plan
4) Improving suppliers’ plant quality and logistics performance, based on the Global Supplier Quality Manual.
5) Working with cross-functional teams to ensure the safe launch of new products
6) Implement, support, and/or manage Supplier Development strategies and performance to ensure flawless launches of new programs
7) Being responsible for import customs clearance for shipment from overseas vendors to Thailand.
8) Initiating cost reduction from an existing supplier, sub-contractor, freight forwarding agent, etc
9) Establishing supplier evaluation system (Delivery, Quality, service, rewards & penalty system) for both material supplier and transportation supplier.
10) Identifying risk in sourcing, purchasing and transportation process and establishing a process to eliminate risk.
11) Proactively planning, leading supervising, and controlling the sourcing, purchasing and transportation activities for all Thailand sites to achieve assigned targets
12) Responsible for all Material Planning and Inventory Management functions.
13) Verify that Sales and Production Plan (PIC) capacity requirements can be supported by suppliers and implement corrective actions when necessary.
14) Weekly / Monthly report Purchasing / Material Planning / Logistic performance
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the Automotive manufacturing industry with a background in material planning, Procurement or Purchasing.
- Mobility: Must be fully mobile and available for high-frequency regional/international travel at short notice to support business development across SEA.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office; deep knowledge of APQP/PPAP and Cost Analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills, open minded and can work under pressure
- Language: Proficient in English and Thai (written and verbal).
- Leadership: Proven track record of strategic management, team leadership, and managing the consequences of change.
