Job Summary:
The Department of Corrections is looking for a Project Coordinator to support community services and assist individuals involved in the criminal justice system. This role includes administrative tasks, helping with reentry services, and working closely with both internal teams and outside partners. The ideal candidate should have experience in areas such as administration, community outreach, customer service, human resources, or office management. People who have personal experience using support services within Rhode Island’s criminal justice system are encouraged to apply.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and programmatic support to community service initiatives
  • Support reentry coordination efforts and communication with service providers
  • Manage data entry, reporting, and visual presentation of key project information
  • Assist in organizing outreach events and stakeholder meetings
  • Maintain and update program records and documentation
  • Respond to public and partner inquiries via phone and email
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse set of stakeholders and agency teams
Required Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in administration, community outreach, HR, customer service, or office management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including database management and data visualization
  • Familiarity with Rhode Island’s criminal legal system and reentry services
  • Ability to work in collaborative, multicultural environments
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning about incarceration and public health issues
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
