Job Summary
The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive wellness programs for DCYF employees. The role involves promoting a culture of health and well-being, focusing on physical, mental, and emotional health initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for employee well-being, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of health promotion strategies in a professional setting. This position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure the wellness programs align with the agency's goals and address the unique needs of DCYF staff, who often work in demanding and high-stress environments.

Duties and Responsibilities
Program Development and Management
Design and execute a holistic wellness program that includes health screenings, fitness challenges, nutritional education, and stress management workshops.
Research and recommend new wellness initiatives and vendors to keep the program fresh and engaging.

Communication and Engagement:
Actively promote wellness programs through internal newsletters, email campaigns, and intranet announcements.
Organize and lead events to encourage staff participation.
Create and distribute educational materials on various health topics.

Mental and Emotional Support:
Develop and manage initiatives focused on mental health, such as resilience training, mindfulness sessions, and access to mental health resources.
Collaborate with DCYF's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to enhance and promote available services.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data on program participation and employee feedback to assess the effectiveness of wellness initiatives.
Prepare regular reports for leadership on program outcomes and return on investment.
Use data to identify areas for improvement and guide future program development.

Collaboration and Resource Management:
Work with department managers, human resources, and an employee wellness committee to ensure the program meets the diverse needs of the DCYF workforce.
Manage the program's budget and resources efficiently.

Policy and Compliance:
Stay up-to-date on wellness trends, best practices, and relevant health regulations.
Ensure all wellness programs comply with agency policies and legal requirements.

Promoting a Culture of Wellness:
Act as a visible advocate for employee well-being, serving as a point of contact for staff inquiries and suggestions.
Encourage healthy habits and positive behaviors through personal example and leadership.
