A Global Management Consulting firm is seeking a Lead Data Migration Manager(Manager-level. 10 - 15 years of experience) to support a large-scale ERP data migration implementation project.
The engagement will focus on leading and executing a complex data migration program as part of a broader ERP transformation. The consultant will play a key role in defining and executing migration strategy, overseeing ETL processes, and engaging directly with client stakeholders. This role requires a hands-on leader who can operate at a manager level in a client-facing environment, while remaining deeply involved in ETL execution, data validation, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end data migration planning and execution strategy
- Design and oversee ETL pipelines, working closely with architects and engineering teams
- Lead development of ETL scripts and workflows, ensuring performance and scalability
- Define and implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across the migration lifecycle
- Provide subject-matter expertise in large-scale ERP data migration
- Engage directly with clients at a manager level, leading discussions and providing recommendations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration delivery
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Python / SQL
- ETL tools (e.g., DataStage or similar)
- Experience working with data pipelines and architecture
- Strong understanding of: Data validation & reconciliation, Data quality frameworks, Migration testing and cutover processes
