Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Center for Educational and Professional Excellence at Eleanor Slater Hospital. This role supports both the leadership and education team within the Center by coordinating training, orientation, and professional development activities, while maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Organizational Development Department, leadership, and education team.
- Maintain employee educational databases in Excel, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Assist with the hospital’s Learning Management System (LMS), including course enrollment, tracking, and reporting.
- Utilize Workday, SharePoint, and PowerPoint to support departmental projects and communications.
- Coordinate employee orientation, including:
- Communicating orientation dates and times with departments.
- Preparing learning packets and materials.
- Welcoming new employees and facilitating onboarding processes.
- Reviewing new employee documents and entering data into SharePoint.
- Monitor and order office supplies to support departmental operations.
- Provide clerical support including copying, scanning, filing, and document preparation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the hospital’s educational and professional development initiatives.

- Standing: Approximately 40% of the time.
- Sitting: Approximately 60% of the time.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., transporting orientation materials), and may have periods of prolonged standing for some duties.
- During certain days/times this position may be required to climb multiple flights of stairs throughout the shift to greet and escort staff.
- Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Workday, SharePoint, and Learning Management Systems strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
- Experience in a hospital or long term care facility required- please do NOT submit candidates without this experience.
- Experience with Collecting and entering data for long-term care data sets.
- Experience collecting patient assessment data.
- Experience developing processes for data collection and management.
- Experience with medical records and data management teams
- Strong data entry skills.
- Experience with the Long-Term Care Hospital Reporting Program.
- Experience preparing and submitting data to Center for Medicaid Services.
- Experience with Health Information Management a plus.
- Experience working with Medicaid or Center for Medicaid Services is a plus.
