Job: Data Analyst
Location: Remote (must work EST or CST hours)

Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Data Analyst / Business Analyst to support enterprise reporting initiatives by translating legacy reports into modern, scalable Power BI solutions. You’ll analyze historical data, define key metrics, document requirements, and work closely with engineers, architects, and developers to deliver accurate, high-quality insights.

Healthcare data experience and strong skills in Power BI, SQL, and DAX are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements, including KPIs.

• Review and translate legacy report logic into modern Power BI specifications.

• Define data elements and support the design of scalable data models and semantic layers.

• Create mapping documentation between old data structures and new enterprise data warehouse schemas.

• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure optimized data pipelines.

• Support Power BI developers in delivering accurate and timely dashboards.

• Validate and test data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.

• Identify and resolve data quality issues with technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics , or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in data/business analysis focused on reporting and metrics.

• Healthcare industry experience (clinical, financial, or operational data) strongly preferred.

• Experience with large enterprise datasets , data warehousing , and platforms like Azure and Databricks .

• Familiar with Agile tools and workflows (AHA, Azure DevOps).

Skills & Tools

• Power BI & DAX: Advanced data modeling, calculated measures, and dashboards.

• SQL: Strong data extraction and transformation skills.

• Data Governance: Understanding of quality, consistency, and integrity principles.

• Visualization: Ability to design intuitive, impactful dashboards.

• Communication: Can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on actionable insights.
