Underwriting Support Team Leader - London insurance Syndicate

To manage and support a Divisional dedicated support team in order to achieve the service levels defined and expected including:

The role includes responsibility for:

Maintain and develop departmental procedures and controls to promote operational efficiency and to support the delivery of agreed service level timings set out within agreed SLAs.

  • Ensure data quality and processing accuracy is maintained in line with the expectations of the company for data management and control.
  • Communicate with Underwriters, finance and claims to manage expectations, ensure delivery to agreed time lines, resolution of queries and management of feedback.
  • Leadership and motivation of team members.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in delivering SLAs through performance management of a team of technicians and administrators.
  • Experienced in use of Policy Administration/Processing and Workflow Management Systems.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholder
  • Ability to interpret data to make informed decisions and spot areas of improvement.
  • Become the Champion of Change initiatives and process improvement across Data Management.
  • Insurance experience required.
  • Strong IT skills; Intermediate Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint.

Knowledge of GENIUS, BDX, Eclipse systems or similar is desirable.
