Overview

To run an allocation of Third Party claims, consisting of vehicle damage, property damage, credit-hire and injury claim, as required, manage staff, handle allocated claims and ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with client requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To handler an allocation of claims ensuring adherence to agreed SLA's and KPI's, and within the agreed independent financial authority limits applicable to their skills and abilities.
  • To deal with claims in a pro-active fashion to ensure the control of indemnity spend and litigation control.
  • To investigate and assess both liability and quantum, adhering to the best practises of motor.
  • To identify, assess and escalate possible fraud issues for addition investigation.
  • Build and maintain an excellent relationship with co-workers

Skills & Experience

  • A good understanding of the Road Traffic Act and how it applies to motor incident and liability in the UK.
  • A good understanding of the principles of insurance and how they are applied to motor incident and liability in the UK.
  • A good understanding of civil liability and the investigation of liability and negligence.
  • Able to appoint and manager external suppliers, loss adjusters, investigators etc to maximise their impact and effect on a case.
  • A knowledge and understanding of credit-hire, both ABI GTA and non ABI GTA, and the investigations required when dealing with these matters.
  • A knowledge and understanding of the MOJ Portal bodily injury process and the CPR bodily injury process and timescales.
  • Able to assess quantum and liability, ensuring accurate reserving
  • Ability to manage their time and workload, prioritising important and time sensitive issues.
  • An understanding of the post litigation civil procedures and how to manage our defendant solicitors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
