The primary focus of this role is support the business partner for all London Disputes practice groups.

Forming an integral part of our global dispute resolution practice, our multi-disciplinary team in London is comprised of over 60 partners, and includes a range of world-leading sector specialists and regional experts. Our lawyers are experienced in resolving large and complex international disputes in every major jurisdiction and across all dispute resolution platforms.

Senior HR Advisor

  • Provide HR assistance and expertise on a wide range of generalist issues working with Centres of Expertise (Reward, Recruitment, Operations & Analytics and Projects), where relevant. This includes talent management, succession planning and annual promotions processes for Counsel and Partner.

Assist in coaching partners to deliver their strategic and operational objectives

  • Assist the HRBO in working with senior associates identified for partnership and support the firm's talent management programme. Oversee the Partner Performance Review (PPR) process actively supporting the RHoPs with any messaging.
  • Work alongside the HRBP in influencing key partners to improve business performance.
  • First line of contact for Fee Earner and general HR queries from the Milan office, liaising with the local Office Manager as appropriate.

Employee Relations

  • Provide expert guidance and support to HRBP to ensure all employee and partner issues are resolved, with the emphasis on building excellent relationships and instilling trust.
  • Assist HRBP with complex disciplinary and grievance procedures and flexible working requests. Conduct Appeal processes as requested.

Resourcing

  • Assist HRBP in resourcing plans for designated practice groups and work with the Group Heads and Recruitment Managers to provide cost efficient and effective recruitment solutions which are in line with the needs of the business.

Learning and Development

  • Promote learning and development options with partners to ensure identified development needs for them or their teams are met.
  • Support HR colleagues through knowledge-sharing.
  • Encourage the use of the Internal Coaching Faculty to deliver high performance.
  • Oversees the delivery of effective performance management, probation reviews and performance review processes for each client group.
