A leading pharmaceutical company requires an experienced Recruiter to deliver a department's strategic workforce plan for openings that span multiple levels and research units. The successful Recruiter will be considered a strategic partner and work closely with department leadership and HR leadership to ensure that hiring strategy meets business needs and objectives, while proactively managing multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities

In line with key components of the department strategic work force plan, supporting full-life cycle recruitment needs across Worldwide Research Development including sourcing, selection and offer development, ensuring that every stage, from the initial staff requisition to final appointment, is carried out in accordance with global operating procedures and in adherence to best practice principles.

  • Establishing effective interface with work force planning team and business lines, Sandwich to develop a detailed understanding and of each research area and its organisation.
  • Partnering with work force planning team and hiring managers to enhance and implement recruiting best practice.
  • Becoming a credible and trusted talent advisor to client groups.
  • Developing recruiting and promotional materials to support the site's needs.
  • Leading the design of a digital prospectus that reflects the site's breadth of contributions to the business and to patients, the strong culture of achievement, opportunity and diversity, and value in the local community. The many benefits to colleagues, and their families, offered by living in east Kent should also be highlighted.
  • Creating and maintaining a repository for key sources of high quality talent within the UK and, where required, across Europe. (e.g. premier universities delivering high performing graduates in relevant degree disciplines; cutting edge post-graduate / post-doctoral research groups aligned with department technology investments). Helping foster strong links with these establishment to support recruitment in the future.
  • Creatively sourcing active and passive high quality talent; developing creative sourcing strategies for hard to fill positions including direct sourcing and internet recruitment, leveraging company and industry networks; continuing to build a talent pipeline across WRD.
  • Developing an understanding of the Benefits Program, its competitive advantage in the market place and utilisation to secure key talent at offer stage of recruitment.
  • Partnering with department training and learning team and hiring managers to define and implement onboarding best practice.
  • Ensuring that hiring is consistent with the business goals and following recruitment guidelines and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Achieving recruitment metrics against Global TA targets.
  • Ensuring a positive client and candidate experience throughout the full recruitment life cycle.
  • Supporting other recruitment activities outside across department/ sites as & when required.

Skills and Experience

  • BS degree in Human Resources, Business, a related discipline; or equivalent professional work experience required
  • Prior HR experience required, preferably in a direct recruiter role
  • Must have demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with both hiring managers and all HR coworkers associated with your client groups
  • Must have experience using an ATS, Workday preferred
  • Must have the ability to prioritise work and manage multiple projects
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent consultative approach, strategic thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated direct sourcing experience preferred
  • Prior recruitment experience supporting Research and Development preferred
