JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Management Office (PMO) Manager - Insurance - London

Main Responsibilities -

Work with firms IT, Finance & HR Department to ensure that the process for project resourcing and invoicing is efficiently and effectively managed.

Technical Capabilities

  • Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management and resource planning

  • Ability to competently mediate disagreements and negotiate agreeable resolutions

  • Pro-active, professional and able to demonstrate full commitment to exceptional service in all activities

  • Project Management standards qualified, e.g. Prince 2, APM etc

  • Good understanding of software development life cycle

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Highly proficient IT skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and MS project. Smartcore preferred but not essential

Additional Information

  • Portfolio Size: Approximately 25-30 projects with a total budget of £12.5m for 2018

  • Extensive experience in PMO and previous management experience

  • Ability to challenge senior members of BPM, IT and Key Stakeholders within the Business

  • A strong and demonstrable ability to build lasting relationships with senior members of BPM, IT and Key Stakeholders within the Business

  • Self-starter, highly motivated, accurate and detailed in performance of work and responsibilities/tasks

  • Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills

  • Adaptable team-oriented individual with good interpersonal skills
