My client who is a non for profit organisation, based in the West End is looking for an experienced secretary to provide full secretarial and administrative support to a team of professionals in the education department.

The ideal candidate will have proven track record of working within an education related function and understanding of educational terminology, managing diaries, undertaking admin tasks, flexibility, booking travel and have a polite telephone manner.

Duties will include:

  • Provide full PA support, including diary management, travel arrangements, facilitating and minuting meetings as required, handling correspondence, filing and archiving for the department head.
  • Provide administrative support for the Schools team and consultants working in support of their projects.
  • Maintenance of the company website and other linked websites.
  • Administer and minute meetings and other committees.
  • Prepare and publish bulletins for networks in Schools, Further Education and Higher Education.
  • Any other duties as required by the Finance Manager.Skills and experience required:
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to draft letters, reports and minutes.
  • Excellent word-processing skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and in writing
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of external contacts in a professional manner.
  • Good organisational skills with a clear attention to detail.
  • Good time management and the ability to be proactive in planning and executing tasks.
  • Ability to work within a small team and to be adaptable.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality.
