A leading, global financial services company is looking for an interim Payroll Manager. You will be responsible for leading a team in the UK and providing guidance on payroll policy, operations and projects in the EMEA region. This is a varied and diverse role driving effective payroll strategy and objectives, being the architect of the target operating model for the UK, developing and maintaining payroll, benefits and immigration policy and driving continuous improvement. Accountabilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining the vision, strategy and operating model for Payroll, benefits and Immigration, and developing a customer service culture ensuring strong delivery
  • Responsibility for the team's delivery of their SLA's and ensuring policies and procedures are updated to ensure they support the service
  • Aligning the payroll service to the company culture to facilitate a positive employee experience
  • Proactively contributing to continuous improvement and business transformation needs, driving the service to deliver to the business' strategic objectives
  • Responsible for managing the 3rd party service provider to ensure they deliver on time, to budget and quality
  • Managing cross entity projects to improve services to ensure you meet business objectives
  • Creating a positive work culture

Skills and experience

  • To apply for this role you must have the above Payroll Management experience within financial services or banking as you must have experience of a regulated market
  • Used to working in a matrix environment
  • Experience in leading, managing, mentoring and coaching teams
  • Demonstrate you are a strategic thinker and a have a strong record of delivery
  • Demonstrate strong influencing and communication skills with a strong customer service focus
  • You have strong project management experience
  • Good eye for detail and have excellent problem solving skills
