A new opportunity has become available at an International Bank for a Loans Administration Manager.

Duties to include:

  • To assist in the day-to-day administration of loans, deposits and current/savings account movements including the preparation, input and verification of ATLAS tickets, the calculation, claiming, monitoring and reconciliation of fees and interest, the overall control of fund movement and liaison with Global Markets staff with regard to the funding of loans and placement of deposits
  • To ensure that loan facilities and the booking of transactions are accurately and comprehensively booked in the firm's records
  • To demonstrate a solid understanding of documentation issues and to conduct thorough reviews, raising any administrative matters with the relevant credit front department
  • To contribute towards planning and training within the department and to develop the individual roles of all loan administration staff through implementation of a thorough cross-training programme
  • To assist the loan administration assistant manager with the preparation and control of the department's monthly reporting function and to provide guidance and training to all other staff on reporting issues
  • To liaise with loan administration departments of other banks regarding instructions relating to syndicated loan transactions and also with credit front departments, as appropriate
  • Receiving telephone and written instructions from bilateral customers and acting upon these in the appropriate manner, obtaining authorisation when necessary
  • To assist with the calculation of settlement figures and liaison with counterparties in respect of secondary loan trades
  • Take responsibility for maintaining repayment schedules
  • Investigating and assisting with ad-hoc queries that arise within the department
  • Checking and filing of confirmations, general filing and archiving

The candidate will have:

  • Ability to drive change and improve daily processes in the department, displaying attention to detail and a willingness to take responsibility and ownership in order to resolve problems
  • Previous staff management experience
