A leading Management Consultancy are looking to hire an interim Resource Specialist to join them ASAP for 6 months initially to work with their internal talent pool to support career development by identifying talent and sourcing internal opportunities to support their progression.

Examples of key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Acts as single point of contact for all supply and demand management queries
  • Represent and/or support individuals in the scheduling process by understanding their needs, preferences, skills, etc. while balancing resource pool priorities and metrics.
  • Search for open roles that comply with staffing principles for the individual
  • Balance short-term chargeability with best fit roles for the individual
  • Proactively communicate availability of people/skills to relevant leadership and drive to schedule available resources
  • Proactively contact individuals prior to rolling off to discuss next role and preferences
  • Manage roll-off dates of all resources within their resource pool
  • Ensure accurate scheduling data in scheduling systems, working with employees and Scheduling Admin as needed.

Experience/skills required include:

  • Demonstrated work experience in an HR or business operations capacity
  • Experience of supply/demand management and/or resource management processes
  • Experience of delivering HR services to internal/ external clients is preferred
  • Good communication and relationship management skills
  • Capability to understand and balance the impact of scheduling decisions on all business outcomes (overdue demand, productivity, labour cost, employee engagement)
  • Capability to understand and appreciate a project's perspective on unfilled demand, and be able to communicate status, challenges, action/support needed from the project, etc. in order to fill demand
  • Ability to remain confident under pressure and work with project teams collaboratively to address issues
  • Understanding of financial implications of workforce, level, contractor usage, etc.
