A leading international Law firm with head offices in London are looking to appoint an Interim L&D Advisor to join them ASAP for a 6 month contract.

Working with the international Learning function, this is a varied role incorporating a wealth of project work, acting as the Ambassador for the Learning and Development function, and ensuring effective delivery for legal technical and skills training within the Firm for your region (Middle East)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the legal education curriculum in close relationships with experts from the Practice Groups
  • Supporting the Middle East region with the co-ordination and delivery of the regional curriculum
  • Providing support and guidance to all our people (lawyers, partners and business services) of the region on L&D plan.
  • Operating as a member of the International L&D team, contributing to the delivery of the overall L&D strategy
  • Identifying and streamlining processes to ensure best practice, and efficient, and cost effective delivery
  • Implementing the regional L&D plan to fully align to business needs, business strategy and vision, articulating local and international requirement

Key skills and experience required includes:

  • Essential - a relevant professional qualification, or CIPD qualified, with training management experience in a diverse environment;
  • Demonstrable experience of managing learning and development activities, ideally in the Law or Professional Services Industry
  • Comfortable working in a complex matrix which crosses regional, team and practice group boundaries
  • Able to personally design and deliver skills training at all levels across a broad range of topics
  • Experience of sourcing and managing external suppliers
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
  • Sound organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Able to evidence initiative and a pro-active approach
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure

Experience working in a Law firm or Partnership within Professional Services as a Learning Specialist is highly desirable due to the nature of the role.
