A market leading professional services firm with an HR Service Centre in Suffolk are looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to manage their operational HR and L&D team. This is to start asap and is covering maternity leave for 12 months.

Reporting to a strategic HRM, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for day to day management of the HR and L&D teams. Working closely with key stakeholders this role will focus on data integrity and service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance on technical aspects of the service provision.
  • Creating and fostering an environment of continuous learning and development by mentoring and coaching the team.
  • Support an exceptional customer service model where work is prioritised, allocated and delivered to a high standard.
  • Placing a strong focus on continuous improvement identifying opportunities for process improvement and promote best practice.

Experience required includes:

  • Knowledge of HR processes and associated documentation.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Knowledge of auditing procedures.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Continuous process improvement knowledge.

The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a similar level role in a large, corporate professional services firm. The role will be based in Essex with travel to London regularly e.g. once a week.
