LMA Recruitment are currently business partnering with and industry leading Lloyds syndicate insurance firm based in the heart of central London, looking for two forward-thinking and proactive FP&A Managers to join their finance team on an initial 6 month contract, paying between £500-600 a day DOE.

With a gap identified within the business's finance departments capabilities in terms of financial analysis, business planning and partnering and financial projects. Given the business's private equity investor base there is high expectations of the business in terms of the critical financial analysis and projections. The role will have two direct reports and will play a key role in driving the business forward and will provide a range of experience not typically available to larger organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a good understanding of a broad array of financial information from differing sources (including actuarial/capital modelling) needed by the business and the key commercial implications of that information.
  • Collate large quantities of information / data into meaningful analysis and insight that supports the CFO, Executive, Board and investors in driving the business forward.
  • A highly flexible and adaptive role which responds well to priorities which can change at short notice and which evolve over time.
  • An ability to produce analysis and reports individually where necessary, recognising the business is currently a small business with financial processes which are not fully developed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach with the ability and desire to develop good relationships across the business (including finance, actuarial, underwriting)
  • A high level of curiosity about the business and its financial drivers and and its focus on continuous improvement of financial results and processes.
  • A good understanding of data and spreadsheet management.
  • Commitment to get the job done in the face of challenging and evolving deadlines and priorities.

Technical requirements

Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).

Advanced Excel skills (VBA/Macro)
