LMA Recruitment are currently business partnering with a media company based in central London, looking for a Finance Manager to join their finance team working on 7 month contract, looking to start ASAP.


Main responsibility is to oversee the finances for a major project.

  • Help smooth the transition to the new business ERP system just implemented throughout the business.
  • Preparation of month-end P&L reports; Head Office Balance Sheet reporting analysis; current and new business pipeline analysis; debtor reporting and input of results into TM1 (group reporting package).
  • Working closely with Account Managers to ensure control of client budgets through regular reconciliation.
  • Ensure positive working capital management prompt processing of sales and purchase invoicing and effective WIP management.
  • Control of Accrued and Deferred Revenue.
  • Control of cash-flow to ensure minimisation of financial risk; debtor management; credit control.
  • Year-end management and statutory reporting.
  • Liaise with external / internal auditors.
  • Assisting the FD with ad hoc tasks.
  • Assisting with the wrap up of two overseas companies.


  • Part qualified or qualified.
  • Hands on, proactive approach with quick turnaround of tasks.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines -day-to-day running of business, monthly Flash reporting and submissions to the business's Central team.
  • Strong excel and analysis skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to form positive working relationships with colleagues in UK and around the group.
  • To communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Task based, organised, methodical approach to work required.
  • Commitment to seeing work through to completion, a finisher!
  • Ability to work under own initiative but also to ask questions when required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team & willingness to perform occasional transactional tasks.
