LMA Finance has gone West and is working with an internationally acclaimed Architure firm based in London and New York is seeking a Finance Assistant to join the team.

The individual will work closely with the Financial Controller & Office Manager whilst also engaging with other members of the management team and the design team. Initially they will be responsible for all customer billing and revenue collection, processing of supplier bills, procurement payments, the reconciliation of supplier accounts and bank reconciliations.

Over time this role will develop in to one with a more commercial and analytical focus. There will be an opportunity to contribute to the month and year end reporting of the company, project financial reporting, forecasting and cashflow management.

Study support is negotiable.


  • Processing and paying supplier bills
  • Processing and paying procurement bills
  • Setting up and managing supplier / procurement trade accounts
  • Managing supplier queries
  • Data input in to the cash flow forecast
  • Daily reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Monthly reconciliation of multi-currency petty cash
  • Processing and reimbursing employee expenses (twice monthly)
  • Processing credit card statements (monthly)
  • Billing customers for fees and reimbursable expenses monthly
  • Updating and providing clients with fee tables and billing schedules monthly
  • Responding to customer billing queries as necessary
  • Safeguarding cash flow by ensuring customers adhere to their payment terms

The ideal candidate will have some experience of working in a Finance environment with exposure to accounts receivable & payable or management accounting. The candidate will have either completed a finance or accountancy qualification at university or started studying an accountancy qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.

Desired IT Skills: Knowledge of Quickbooks or similar system, Excel, Outlook

The individual must have excellent attention to detail and communication skills. They will be pro-active, confident, willing to take on new responsibilities and have a desire to develop a career within Finance.
