My client, a complex nationwide service provider based in Basingstoke are looking for a Finance Analyst with strong experience of engaging stakeholders across large businesses at all levels.

This permanent role is paying £46,000 to 48,000 per annum plus 10% discretionary bonus.

Duties will include:

  • Take part in customer discussions and negotiations during tender and re-pricing processes. Attend ad-hoc customer meetings as and when required.
  • Improve financial performance by providing insightful analysis on (but not limited to): customer pricing and account profitability, account pricing structures (Insured versus Pay for Use), sales campaigns and marketing spend
  • Provide decision and pricing support to Account Managers and their wider Business Services team as new and existing B2B business is tendered for.
  • Work closely with the Business Services team to produce accurate budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyse and understand monthly performance through variance analysis against the forecast/budget. Ensure the Business Services team understand and take responsibility for their performance.
  • Creation of monthly P&L reporting to develop Senior Management's understanding of the profitability of the business.
  • Identify opportunities or risks to planned financial out-turns, and work to mitigate risks and realise opportunities.
  • Work with the wider business to improve processes and controls in relation to customer invoicing and cash collection.
  • Work to improve the level and accuracy of MI, both financial and operational
  • Assisting the Financial Reporting Team with month-end to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Assisting the Financial Reporting Team to ensure accuracy of the balance sheet and assist with cash flow forecasting/management
  • Develop life time value models for the SME market to assist with acquisition marketing spend decisions.
  • Provide support for Finance Business Partners according to the needs of the business

Candidate requirements

  • At least 2/3 years experience in a commercial finance role
  • Strong experience engaging senior stakeholders across various departments
  • Able to understand a complex business structure
  • Preferably ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified though Part Qualified or Finalists will be considered
  • Ability to work in a fast paced challenging environment
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
