Company Secretary Assistant, City, £40-£50k

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Statutory, Legal and Regulatory compliance (40%)

  • Working to the direction of the Company Secretary Lead, maintain Group entity statutory records in compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Drafting routine board minutes, papers and statutory forms.
  • Prepare and review corporate documentation such as report and accounts
  • Drafting responses to, and working with Business contacts, to respond to ad-hoc company secretarial queries from the business.
  • Working with the Businesses to ensure policies and procedures are implemented in an appropriate manner.
  • Provide support for the regulatory filings managed by the team, such as close links and annual controllers report.
  • Undertaking research on technical matters and sharing knowledge with other team members.

Board and Director Support (40%)

  • Support certain key Board and Board Committees
  • Provide administrative support to the Company Secretary Leads as required.
  • Liaise with presenters and paper authors to ensure agreed board and committee meetings run in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Provide administrative support to certain Boards/Committees/forum meetings across the business.

Departmental projects (20%)

  • Work on projects to support the delivery of the overall team strategy.
  • Support on key departmental systems, such as the team intranet or diligent boardbooks.

We are looking for an exceptional Company Secretary Assistant to provide full support within a finance house based in the City.

Qualifications required:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Qualified Chartered Secretary (ICSA)

Experience required:

  • Proven Company Secretary experience gained in a professional or regulated environment
  • Experience of Blueprint and Diligent Boardbooks.
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders.
