Position Summary –
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to manage and oversee financial operations for a public health grant. This role requires strong expertise in financial management, budgeting, compliance, and reporting, with a focus on ensuring the effective and transparent use of grant resources. The Finance Administrator will play a key role in maintaining financial compliance, tracking expenditures, managing rebates (guaranteed, outcomes-based, and volume-based), and working collaboratively with the project team to forecast and allocate funds efficiently. The successful candidate will also help safeguard public resources by monitoring invoices and claims to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial management of the grant, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational policies.
  • Track and manage grant expenditures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee the documentation and financial tracking of guaranteed, outcomes-based, and volume-based rebates.
  • Perform budget forecasting, resource allocation, and financial planning for the program.
  • Work closely with the Project Director and program team to provide regular financial updates, reconcile records, and optimize use of funds.
  • Ensure compliance with grant terms, funding agency requirements, and internal audit standards.
  • Monitor financial submissions (e.g., invoices, claims) to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports, documentation, and audit-ready files.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in financial management, preferably within a public health, non profit, or government-funded program setting.
  • Strong knowledge of grant compliance regulations and financial guidelines.
  • Experience managing rebate structures or incentive-based payment models is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks, or grant management systems).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex financial data to non-financial audiences.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement systems and Medicaid funding structures.
  • Prior experience with federally funded grant programs.
  • Experience conducting internal financial reviews or audits.
