Since its inception, LMA has put particular emphasis on the candidate experience. That might well be an overly used phrase in the industry, but it’s important we recognise the nature of recruitment and how that sentiment ties in.
The bottom line in recruitment is revenue generation. If you believe that there aren’t agencies out there that become short-sighted by this, then you have managed to traverse the web of recruitment in incredibly fortuitous circumstances. Simply put, a lot of job seekers will have had a negative experience at some stage or another.
It is our long held belief that transparency, consistency and proper engagement lead to a better working relationship, not only with colleagues, but with our professional network.
However, it would be nothing short of arrogance to imply we’re perfect. Yes, we try to foster a culture that lets us stand out from the rest of the crowd, but it’s important we aren’t caught resting on our laurels.
Over the next few months, LMA will be undergoing an extensive review of its ‘candidate experience’, engaging with our clients and candidates alike to determine what we need to improve, and what’s important to you.
We would be incredibly grateful to hear your thoughts, so please do let us know! Whether it’s a negative experience you’ve had that we can learn from, or what you find important when working with an agent, we’re all ears.
We’ll listen to what you have to say, and directly respond to your feedback by putting together a commitment to the candidate experience. These commitments will be visible to all, and constantly reviewed to ensure we’re doing what’s right, and what’s important to you.
First of all, we need to know what you think about working with recruiters, and working with LMA. If you can spare 10 minutes to complete our survey, you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win an Apple Watch! The winner will be announced on August 14th!
