A new opportunity has become available at an International Bank for a Relationship Manager - Trade Finance.

Duties to include:

  • Support the Head and SME trade in proactively identifying, assessing and structuring new business development opportunities. Products include trade finance, working capital facilities and other short term financing to support trading and corporate entities that do business in and with Africa
  • Managing customer relationships to achieve better line utilisation and ensure performance of facilities
  • Actively cross-selling the Bank's products across the various strategic business units
  • Management of existing and potential trade portfolio
  • Supporting the head, SME Trade in delivering on the corporate banking unite budget by building and developing an adequate corporate clientele base and loan portfolio
  • Working to ensure the trade team executes their portion of corporate banking strategy
  • Business tracking of revenues for budget purposes
  • Ensuring annual credit reviews are carried out and continuous KYB/KYC due diligence on portfolio of corporate relationships
  • Source for business from key targets
  • Ensure a proportionate on all transactions from corporate customers are in line with the budget
  • Work closely with credit rick to close deals and leverage the Bank's network
  • Cultivate good rapport with existing and potential clients for business opportunities and ensure that quality service is given to them at all times
  • Cross-sell the bank's products to new and existing clients
  • Generate low-cost liabilities from existing and new account relationships
  • Grow risk assets under management
  • Ensure efficient service delivery to all customers and compliance with the bank's procedures

The candidate will have:

  • Strong networking skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Working knowledge of the diverse bank products, particularly trade finance
  • Experience in relationship management for corporate clients and credit function
