A new opportunity has become available at an International Bank for a Loans Documentation and Closer.

Duties to include:

  • To close and arrange Settlement in a timely manner, all new Secondary trades instigated by the groups trading team
  • Review Finance Documents with a view to prepare, check and execute all transfer documents required as per relevant documentation, engaging counsel where required
  • Liaise with new/existing Lender, Booking Office, Agent Bank and where necessary the Borrower, to ensure that transfer completed in accordance with formal time lines and transfer conditions
  • Ensure that all legal requirements regarding transferability are/have been met
  • Liaise with Paris office on all French trades. Being familiar with French loan documentation
  • Liaison with Loans Admin/Ops to ensure that all monies due to be paid/received have been accounted for
  • Ensure all KYC requirements regarding new Borrowers/Lenders have been met and signed off
  • Bringing in new business by marketing services internally and externally and identifying new areas for investment
  • Handel queries from banks/clients on the administration aspects of the loan documentation
  • Maintain the departments trading systems ensuring that all trades are recorded correctly and in a timely manner
  • Administer and maintain EMEA Loan Trading Profit & Loss accounts
  • Maintain all loan documentation held in departments records in accordance with written procedures
  • Ensure funding requirement are booked with treasury as and when required
  • Distribution of the borrower's financial information as and when received
  • Handle queries from banks/clients on the transaction or facilitate medium for discussion between them
  • Monitor administration of the loans by loans admin
  • Control and maintain security accounts
  • Ensure all required fees have been paid/received and escalate those which have been called as 'non-receipts'
  • Maintain all files and audit trail
  • Distribute as and when requested, confidentiality letters to prospective clients, ensuring documentation is recorded according to audit requirements
  • Amendment and waiver requests
  • Reporting activity

The candidate will have:

  • Loans closing experience and fluent in French
  • Ongoing loans closing experience, with expertise of the secondary loan market
  • Good knowledge of LMA loan documentation and secondary loan terms and conditions
  • Extensive experience of the secondary loan market closing process
  • Hands on ability with in-depth experience of the secondary loan market
