This is a new opportunity working for a respected private bank to assist an established compliance team. This role will sit as part of the second line of governance within the Bank's risk governance framework helping ensure that controls within the Bank are robust and working effectively. Duties to include:

  • Assisting with the development and management of the annual compliance risk assessment used to inform and drive the risk based compliance monitoring plan.
  • Provide support to the Compliance Monitoring Manager to ensure that all tests detailed in the Compliance Monitoring Plan are completed on schedule, to the required compliance standards, and appropriate audit records to a re-performable standard are maintained.
  • Provide support during compliance monitoring reviews such as preparing the terms of reference, reviewing procedures and control documentation, outcome based testing, establishing factual accuracy and reporting.
  • Conduct off-site visits to complete testing and other tasks, liaise with all outsource functions, Divisions and outsourced providers/partners (as appropriate) on required remedial actions, and ensure re-testing is completed on an agreed schedule and to robust standards.
  • To track progress on all remedial actions and to assist in providing monthly update reports for inclusion in the regular Compliance reports to the Board, the ARC and EXCO.
  • Assist with any other compliance related activities that may be required of you as specified by your manager.
  • Build, enhance and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and within the Bank.
  • In performing any of the roles required of the position ensure that full and proper consideration is taken of TCF, SYSC 8 and conduct risk requirements as may be amended from time to time.

  • Experience of working in a regulated PRA and FCA environment would be required
  • Two or three years' compliance experience.
  • SYSC 8 outsourcing knowledge would be preferred too.
  • There may be some travelling to the South and Northern counties in the UK also.
