We are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Compliance Project Manager to join a global finance institution based in London. The purpose of this role is to support end to end project delivery of the RCM program for the UK across CM,WM,ITS and ongoing BAU maintenance including supporting governance and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide project management expertise to support the identification and documentation of the key European Regulations, Exchange rules and Industry Codes applicable to business undertaken in RBC UK.
  • Manage senior stakeholder workstreams related to RCM, including organising working groups and steering committee meetings.
  • Liaise with different Compliance groups (Compliance Advisory, Regulatory Development, Regulatory Policy and Services, Monitoring and Surveillance) to identify the regulations, controls and monitoring to be undertaken for the UK across the three segments (CM, WM, ITS) and their lines of business in the region.
  • Liaise with the First and other Second Lines of Defence groups to identify the key risks, controls and monitoring for the UK across the three segments (CM, WM, ITS) and their lines of business in the region.
  • Work closely with the Regulatory Developments team to ensure the incumbent remains abreast of key regulatory developments, which may need to be reflected in the RCM tool.
  • Ensure the data held within the RCM tool to ensure it is accurate and current.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the global RCM program, methodology, governance and tool through close interaction with the global RCM program team.
  • Liaise closely with Compliance colleagues and other functions where applicable, both locally and globally, to ensure RBC UK is maintaining a consistent approach to RCM.
  • Develop and maintain metrics and management information for RCM including Monitoring and Testing and Issue Tracking.
  • Document the methodology, procedures and supporting documentation, which may subject to external review, is undertaken to a high standard and attention to detail.

Experience required:

  • Working knowledge of European and UK regulatory environment
  • Delivery focused, comfortable with hard deadlines and high volumes
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Ability to negotiate and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to communicate with senior stakeholders clearly and in an international capacity.
  • Ability to understand management ideas/needs and convert into something real, transforming theory into reality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

This is an ongoing temporary role and the client is willing to pay a competitive market rate per day for this opportunity.
